Traffic constable injured after being crushed between 2 buses

A traffic police constable was severely injured after being crushed between two buses in the capital’s Jatrabari area on Thursday (April 18) afternoon.

The incident took place around 2:30 pm.

The injured was Md Mithun Mia, 45, a constable of Wari (traffic) Division.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Jatrabari Police Station Shahidul Islam said the constable Mithun was performing his duties. He was crushed between the two buses at Jatrabari intersection.

Mithun was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with critical condition, he said.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said top police officials visited the hospital after being informed about Mithun’s injury.
