15 died of heatstroke in the last 14 days: DGHS

Fifteen people have died of heatstroke in the last 14 days across Bangladesh, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the last 24 hours, three people suffered heatstroke. Among them, one person hailing from Narail died.

The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the DGHS confirmed the development on Monday (May 6).

The highest number of deaths (7) was recorded in Magura. Fatalities were also reported in Chattogram, Khulna, Chuadanga, Habiganj, Rajbari, Jhenaidah, Lalmonirhat, Bandarban, and Madaripur.
