2 buildings catch fire in capital’s Uttara

Staff Correspondent: A devasting fire has broken out at two buildings opposite to Rajlaxmi Complex in the capital’s Uttara area.

A total of 15 units of fire service are trying to douse the fire that originated around 5.00am on Monday.

Fire Service headquarters’ duty officer Mizanur Rahman told risingbd.com, “The fire broke out at 2 buildings at Uttara-5 sector. After getting the news, 15 units of Fire Service rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Fire broke out in the six-storey building of Ekushey Restaurant and near the three-storey building.

He also said that the cause of the fire was not immediately known. No casualties were reported till now.
