Eid on Friday

Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated in the country on Friday (May 14) as the Shawwal moon was not sighted in Bangladesh on Wednesday (May 12) evening.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee chaired by its Chairman and State Minister for Religion Affairs, after reviewing the information of Shawwal moon sighting.
