Youth found dead after going missing in drain

Fire service and civil defence men have recovered the body of a youth, who went missing after falling into a drain in the capital’s Khilgaon area on Tuesday morning.

The body was recovered around 9.00am on Wednesday.

The deceased is Md Abul.

Lima Khan, duty officer of Fire Service headquarters control room, confirmed the news.

She said local people noticed the body floating in the drain and informed the fire servicemen. Later, they recovered the body.

The incident took place when the youth was collecting discarded bottles from the canal on Tuesday.
