Habib rules out Jahangir’s allegation

Ruling Awami League nominated candidate for Dhaka-18 by-polls Md Habib Hasan has ruled out the allegation of BNP nominated candidate SM Jahangir.
The Awami League candidate came up with the claim after casting his vote at IE School and College Center of Dhaka North City Corporation on Thursday. He was talking to the journalists.
Earlier, BNP candidate SM Jahangir alleged that his polling agents have been forcefully thrown out of different centers in his constituency. He also brought allegation of irregularities against the ruling party and administration.
The voting in the constituency began with the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at 8:00am.
There are 577,773 voters under 217 polling stations in Dhaka-18 comprising the 14 wards and airport area under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
Dhaka-18 constituency fell vacant following the death of former Home Minister and Awami League MP Sahara Khatun on July 9.
