Australia team bus attacked in India

International Desk: A rock was thrown at the coach as Australia made their way from the Barsapara Stadium to the team hotel in Guwahati, forcing players to duck for cover.

It represents a major security scare following the first international match ever held at the venue.

Aussie batsman Aaron Finch tweeted a picture of the shattered window tonight as security of the top cricketers on the planet was put under threat.

Finch, the former captain of the Australian side, tweeted: "Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!" David Warner later retweeted Finch's post while Glenn Maxwell liked it.

Finch's tweet was retweeted by his team-mate David Warner, who opened the batting with him in the game.

The BCCI, ICC or Cricket Australia (CA) are yet to respond to the incident.
