102 Yaba peddlers surrender to Home Minister

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: At least 102 listed and identified Yaba peddlers including four brothers of former lawmaker Bodi officially surrendered to Home Minister at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday noon.

Yaba peddlers surrendered to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at a function held on Teknaf Pilot High School premises.

Earlier, Yaba peddlers were taken to Teknaf Pilot High School premises by 10 buses around 10.30am.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal made a three-day visit to Cox’s Bazar to attend the surrender programme.

A B M Masud Hossain, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Cox’s Bazar, said, “Yaba traders, who were listed and identified by Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), surrendered.”
