111 enterprises to get national export trophy

Economic Reporter: The government will provide 111 enterprises with the National Export Trophy for 2011-12 and 2012-13 fiscals in recognition of their respective contribution to the country’s export trade.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the trophies and certificates to award winners at Osmani Memorial Auditorium next Sunday noon.

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) will reward 60 enterprises for 2012-13 and 51 enterprises for 2011-12. Three categories-gold, silver and bronze-of trophies will be given them.

The sectors are readymade garments (RMG), knitwear, all kinds of threads, textile fabrics, home and specialised textiles, frozen food, raw jute, jute products, leather, leather products, footwear, agro products, agro processing products, flower-foliage, handmade industrial products, melamine and plastic products, ceramic products, light engineering products, electric and electronic products, other industrial products, medicines, other chemical products, computer software and other.
