15 held in Gopalganj special drive

Gopalganj Correspondent: Police in a special drive arrested 15 people including a fugitive accused in a murder case in Gopalganj.

The arrests were made after conducting drives at different places in the district. The drives began early Friday and continued till noon.

Officers-in-charge from the concerned police stations of the district said the drives were conducted to maintain law and order situation in the district.

Lalon Sheikh, a fugitive accused in a murder case, and a drug trader were arrested from Moksudpur police station following the drive.

Besides, police have arrested five people from Kashiani police station, five from Kotalipara police station, two from Gopalganj sadar police station and one from Tungipara police station.

Police said they will continue the drive in a bid to maintain law and order situation in the district.
