2 die inside septic tank in Rangpur

Staff Correspondent: Two people died after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank at Pirganj upazila of Rangpur.

The deceased were identified as Dulu Mia, son of Moyes Ali and Enamul Haque, a third year student of Rangpur Carmichael College

Locals and fire service sources said that a mobile phone of businessmen Dulu Mia fell into the septic tank around 9:00pm on Monday. Dulu Mia entered the tank to recover his phone but remained missing. Later, the college student Enamul also entered into the septic tank to rescue Dulu Mia and both of them remained silent.

On information, fire servicemen rushed to the spot and sent them to hospital but both the victims died inhaling poisonous gas inside the septic tank.

Pirganj fire service team leader Nurul Islam confirmed the matter.
