2 ‘drug traders’ killed in ‘gunfight’

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Two ‘drug traders’ were killed in a ‘gunfight’ took place between two groups of drug traders in Teknaf upazila early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Alim, 36, son of Amir Hamza at Leda under Hrila union, and Nazir Ahmed, 40, son of Abdul Karim at Kachubonia under Sabrang union.

Pradeep Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station, a team of police conducted a drive in the area after being informed that two groups of drug traders exchanged fire. Police rescued two persons with bullet injury and sent them to Teknaf Upazila Health Complex where duty doctors declared them dead.
Police also recovered three guns, eight rounds of bullets and 10,000 pieces of yaba.
