2 killed as temple wall collapses in Kaptai

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Two people were killed as the wall of an old temple collapsed at Raikhali union in Kaptai area of hill district Rangamati on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Chaichingmong Marma, 55 and Ankyauci Marma, 28.

Confirming the matter to risingbd.com, Raikhali union parishad chairman Saymong Marma said the wall of an old temple, where renovation works were going on, collapsed at Motipara area of Raikhali union leaving two people trapped under wall.

Later, workers who were working there rescued and rushed them to Chandraghona Mission Hospital where duty doctor declared them dead, the chairman said.
