2 killed in clash over land dispute in Cumilla

Cumilla Correspondent: Two people were killed and 15 others injured in a clash over land-related dispute at Shidlai village under Brahmanpara upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Khorshed Alam, 45, son of Abdul Wadud Member and Shanu Miah, 60, son of Abdus Sobhan.

According to sources, there was a long standing enmity between Shamsul Haque group and Liton group over a land.

The two groups equipped with sharp weapons locked into a clash in the morning, leaving Khorshed dead on the spot.

Shanu Miah died at Comilla Medical College Hospital.
