2 minors drown in B'baria

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Two children drowned in a pond at Sharifpur village in Ashuganj upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Mohua, 8, daughter of Yusuf Mia and Suborna, 5, daughter of Babul Mia of the village.

Idris Mia, a resident of the village, told risingbd.com that the two minors fell into the pond while playing near their house.

On information, nearby local people rushed to the pond and recovered them, he said.

Later, the two minors were admitted to Brahmanbaria sadar hospital for treatment where duty doctor declared them dead, Idris said.
