2 youths killed in Comilla clash

Staff Correspondent, Comilla: At least two youths were killed in a clash over renovation of a grave in the district on Saturday night.

The clash took place in Barpara area of Comilla sadar upazila.

The deceased were identified as Rasel, son of the late Sadek Mia Sardar, and Hanif, son of Abdus Salam.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Abdur Rob said there had been a longstanding dispute between two groups of villagers over the renovation work of a graveyard.

As a sequel to the dispute, about 35-40 people launched an attack on their rivals including Rasel in front of Mainamati Medical College Hospital. Later, Russel succumbed to the injuries at the hospital at night.
