24 Jamaat men held in Meherpur

Meherpur Correspondent: Police held 24 Jamaat men while there were conducting a secret meeting at a house of Tengramari village of the district's sadar upazila on Tuesday midnight.
Iqbar Bahar Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Meherpur Sadar Police Station, confirmed the news.
He said they are held based on secret information for conducting a secret meeting. Law enforcers also seized some Islamic books from their possessions.
Loding case in this regard was under process while the report was filed. The detainees will be produced before a Meherpur court on Wednesday, the OC added.
