3 members of forest robber gang ‘Nur Hossain Bahini’ held

Satkhira Correspondent: Police on Saturday detained three members of a forest robber gang with a one-barrel pistol and 20 rounds of bullets from Pashurtola Khal in the Sundarbans under Satkhira range.

The detainees are Rabiul Islam, 30, son of Saheb Ali Fakir, Tabibur Rahman Morol, 26, son of late Arshad Ali Morol and Shahidul Islam Sheikh, 25, son of Abdul Jabbar Sheikh.

Syed Mannan Ali, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shyamnagar police station, said a team of police conducted a drive at Pashurtola Khal in Shyamnagar upazila after being informed that forest robber gang ‘Nur Hossain Bahini’ was preparing to  commit robbery there.

During the drive, the team detained the three robbers with a one-barrel pistol and 20 rounds of bullets, the police official said.
