3 of a family electrocuted in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent: Three people of a family have electrocuted when they were travelling to Chalan Beel by boat under Chatmohar upazila of the district.

The accident happened around 3.00pm on Sunday.

The deceased are Afzal Hossain, 45, son of the late Afsar Ali at Ranigram village under Pabna Sadar upazila, his brother Anwar Hossain, 40, assistant professor of Tabunia Shamsul Huda Degree College and his son Sohan, 11.

Chatmohar Police Inspector (investigation) Shariful Islam said that 15 to 20 members of a family came to Chatmohar to visit Chalan Beel by a microbus. They hired a boat from Chhaikola and went on tour to Chalan Beel.

Five of them who were the roof of the boat were electrocuted and fell into water. Later, the local people rescued three bodies from the water.
