35 hurt in Jhenaidah AL factional clash

Jhenaidah Correspondent: At least 35 people were injured in a clash between two factions of local unit of Awami League over establishing supremacy in Samaspur village under Sadar upazila on Sunday.

Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Emdadul Haque Sheikh said that there was a dispute between union parishad chairman also local Awami League leader Abdul Malek and former Awami union parishad member Shahid Sikdar. Following the dispute, supporters of the two Awami League leader locked into clash with lethal weapon, leaving 35 injured.

The injured were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital. 

Later, additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to bring the situation under control.
