36 detained in Satkhira special drive

Satkhira Correspondent: Police detained 36 people including four Jamaat leaders on various charges from eight police stations of Satkhira district from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.

Sources said they were picked up in special drives from different areas of the district.

Mizanur Rahman, inspector of Satkhira Special Branch of Police, said Satkhira Sadar police arrested 16 people, Kalaroa police six, Tala police three, Kaliganj police three, Shyamnagar police four, Assasuni police two, Debhata police one and Patkelghata police arrested one accused.
