Staff Correspondent, Jessore: At least two people were killed in a road accident in the district’s Monirampur and two killed in lightning strikes in Jhikargacha.
The incidents happened on Friday morning. Recovering the bodies, police sent those to Jessore 250-bed hospital for autopsy.
At least two people were killed and one injured in a collision between a sand-laden truck and pick-up van in Chalkidanga Bazar area of Monirampur.
The deceased were identified as Tapos Kundo (30) and Kayedi Ajom Biswas (17).
On the other hand, two people and two cows were killed in separate two lightning strikes in Jhikargacha.
The deceased were as identified Yunus Ali (40), son of the late Ekabbor Ali at Nishchontopur village and Jasim Uddin (16), son of Taj Uddin at Baisa village.
