4 pilgrims killed in Dinajpur road accident

Dinajpur Correspondent: At least four pilgrims were killed and seven others were injured in a road accident in the district’s Birganj upazila on Saturday morning.
The accident took place around 6.00am when a pickup van hit an auto-rickshaw in Shalbon area of Dinajpur-Thakurgaon highway.
The deceased could not be identified immediately. The injured have been admitted to Birganj Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Birganj Thana Abu Akkas Ahmed confirmed the matter.
According to sources, they all were auto-rickshaw passengers and heading towards Kantaji Temple on the occasion Rash Mela.
