40 students fall ill after eating meal in Barisal

Staff Correspondent: At least 40 school students of Ullogoni Nurani Madrasa and orphanage fell ill due to food poisoning after eating meal at ward-4 under under Sadar upazila of Barisal on Tuesday evening.

Among them 32 students were admitted to Barisal Sadar Hospital.

Madrasa Super Maulanan Omar Farul said there were 41 students in the Madrasa. The students ate their regular meal this noon as usual. But, the students started vomiting at evening.

Barisal Sadar Hospital residential medical officer Dr Delwar Hossain said that the students fell sick after eating food which were rotten.
