47 held in Bagerhat

Bagerhat Correspondent: Police in an anti-militancy drive detained 47 people including four activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir in Bagerhat.

They were detained from different areas of the district during the anti-militancy drive since Thursday night to Friday morning.

Of the detainees, four Jamaat-Shibir activists are—Hemayet Sheikh, 52, Mohammad Ali, 20, Altaf Hossain, 50 and Md Mozahidul Islam 20. All of them were from Chotboga and Madhobkathi villages under Kochua upazila of the district.

Meanwhile, jihadi books, five cocktails and a helmet were recovered from their possession.
