Staff Correspondent: At least 57 shanties were gutted in a fire that broke out in a workers colony in Baimail area of Gazipur City Corporation early Sunday.
On information, three fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after two hours frantic efforts.
Joydebpur fire service station officer Abu Saleh Mohammad Jakaria said that the fire broke out around 5:00am in the area.
Two fire fighters also received injuries during the incident. They are- Khoka Babu, 40 and Shamim, 35.
