6 killed in truck-microbus collision in Feni

Feni Correspondent: At least six people, including two minors, were killed and six others sustained critical injuries in a head-on collision between a truck carrying cows and a microbus on Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Muhuriganj in Chhagalnaiya upazila early monday.

The deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place around 3:30am when the Feni-bound truck collided with the Chattogram-bound microbus, leaving the six people dead on the spot and the six others injured, said Muhuriganj Highway Police Outpost Sub Inspector (SI) Md Mahbub Alam.

On information, police and fire service men recovered the bodies, the police official said.

The bodies have been kept at the morgue of Feni Sadar Hospital, he added.

Dr Ritu, an emergency medical officer at Feni Sadar Hospital, said bodies of the people killed in the road accident have been kept at the hospital morgue and the injured are undergoing treatment there.
