7 injured over football match clash at JU

JU Correspondent: At least seven students have been injured in a clash over a football match between two groups of Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall and Al-Biruni Hall.

The incident happened during the match of Chancellor Cup tournament at the university's central playground on Wednesday afternoon.

The injured are known as Salman (History-42), Faysal (Government and Politics-45), Antor (Anthropology-43), Enayet (English-46). They all are from Mir Mosharraf Hall.

The injured from Al-Biruni Hall are Jony LangBang, Abdullah Al-Mamun (International Relations-43) and Jamshed Alam (International Relations-43).

Of them, Jony is in critical condition, according to physicians of a hospital of Savar where he was admitted.

Jony sustained serious injury at his head, said the university medical centre's physician Dr. Shamsul Alam Liton.
