9 killed in separate road crashes in Narsingdi

Narsingdi Correspondent: At least nine people were killed and 20 others were injured in separate road mishaps at Madhabdi and Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Monday morning.

Md Ilias, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhabdi Police Station, said a head-on collision was happened between a passenger bus and a microbus near Kandail bus stand area in the morning, leaving four dead on the spot and 17 others injured.

The injured were immediately rushed to a local hospital where two more succumbed. The deceased could not be identified immediately, he added.

Meanwhile three people were killed and five others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and human hauler, popularly known as Leguna, at Kararchar village of Shibpur upazila in the morning.

The deceased could not be known immediately.

Md Hafizur Rahman, Inspector of Itakhola Highway Police of Narsingdi, confirmed the news.
