AFC delegation visits Rohingya camp

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: A delegation of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has visited Rohingya camp at Ukhia of Cox’s Bazar.

The seven-member delegation reached the Kutupalang camp of Ukhia around 12:30pm on Tuesday.

The delegation includes AFC’s top foreign officials, Youth and Sports Ministry officials and representatives from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and UNHCR.

The delegation visited D block of Kutupalang camp and interacted with Rohingya people and their children.

Delegation members also talked to the reporters after visiting Rohingya camp.

They said, “We are observing the situation of Rohingya people who fled to Bangladesh in aiming to help the assistance from AFC. The organisation will take initiatives to provide human assistance to Rohingya children for their sports and education purposes.”
