AL-BNP clashes leave 30 hurt in Noakhali

Noakhali Correspondent: At least 30 people were injured as BNP activists clashed with Awami League activists in Kabirhat upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Sources said that BNP activists gathered at Zero-point area of Kabirhat to join a street rally of BNP candidate Barrister Moudud Ahmed. At one stage, a procession of BNP men locked into a clash with Awami League supporters around 11:00am which spread to adjacent areas, leaving 30 people injured.

Meanwhile, the attackers vandalized some business organizations in the area.

Kabirhat police station Officer-in-Charge Mirza Mohammad Hasan said additional police forces were deployed in the area to avoid further clash.
