AL activist stabbed dead in Jessore

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: An Awami League (AL) activist was stabbed to death by miscreants at Katakhal area of the district's Jhikargachha upazila on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Milon, 27, son of Alamgir Hossain of Katakhal.

Abu Saleh Masud Karim, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhikargachha Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said Milon was seriously injured as miscreants stabbed him at Katakhal area on Saturday afternoon. He succumbed while rushing to Jessore 250-bed hospital.

"Milon died of excessive bleeding," said Kallol Kumar Saha, physician of the hospital.
