AL leader's body recovered in Satkhira

Satkhira Correspondent: Police recovered the throat-slit body of a local leader of Awami League from a Beribadh area at Koikhali village in Assasuni upazila in the district early Monday.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the body of Solaiman Ali Gazi, general secretary of Awami League of Nalta union’s ward No. 9 unit and son of late Moksed Ali of Kaliganj upazila from the spot in the morning, said Shahidul Islam Shahin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Assasuni Police Station.

The body was taken to Assasuni Police Station. An investigation is underway to find out motive behind the killing, the OC said.
