Accused in 17 cases arrested in Kurigram

Kurigram Correspondent: Police arrested an accused in 17 cases including a murder case from Kurigram town on Thursday night.

The accused was known as Azizul, son of late Ismail Hossain of Hingonroy Chowdhuryparha village of the town.

He was arrested along with sharp weapon and heroin from Dhaka-bound SN Paribahan counter area at Dada intersection of the town.

Abdus Sobhan Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kurigram Sadar Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said Azizul demanded extortions from bus counters threatening with sharp weapon. He also vandalized several counters as they denied to give it. Being informed, police arrested him.
