Air into rectum: Rubel remanded

Bogra Correspondent: A Bogra court granted three day’s remand for Rubel who was arrested in a case for allegedly killing Russel by pumping air through his rectum in a factory in Birkedar area of Kahalu upazila in the district.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Ahsan Habib passed the order on Saturday afternoon while the investigation officer of the case produced the accused before the court seeking seven day’s remand for him.

Nur-e-Alam Siddiqui, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kahalu police station, confirmed the matter to risingbd.

Earlier around 1:30pm, Abdul Hannan, father of the deceased, filed a murder case in which Rubel, co-worker of Russel, has been made the sole accused.

Police arrested the alleged killer Rubel, son of Jahangir Hossain of Kalai-Nawdapara in the upazila following the case.

Earlier, Russell Miah, 19, was killed after air was pumped through his rectum by his co-worker Rubel, 22, in AB tiles factory in Birkedar area of Kahalu upazila in Bogra on Friday.

Rubel inserted a pump nozzle into Russell’s rectum while he (Rubel) was cleaning factory’s floor with the blower machine in the morning. Russell fell sick.

Later, other workers took him to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hopsital, Bogra where he succumbed to his injuries around 1:15pm.

Russell was the son of Abdul Hannan of Mirpara of the upazila and a worker of AB tiles factory in Birkedar area.
