Another suspected militant den cordoned off in Jhenidah

Jhenidah Correspondent: Law enforcers have cordoned off another house in suspicion of being militant den at Lebutola village of the district's Sadar Upazila since 8:30am on Sunday.
The owner of the house was known as Sarafot Hossain.
Earlier, two militants were killed in an operation conducted by law enforcers at Bajrapur village of the district's Maheshpur upazila on Sunday morning.
Two members of Counter Terrorism unit of police were also injured in the incident.
They are Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Nazmul Hossain and Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohasin Hossain.
Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jhenidah, said a house was cordoned off in suspicion of being militant den of Bajrapur village. At one stage, militants fired bullets from inside the house, leaving the two cops injured.
In retaliation, law enforcers also fired at them for self defence, he added.
However, it was not confirmed immediately that the militants were killed by bullets fired by police or in suicide explosion.
