Staff Correspondent: A court in Gazipur issued an arrest warrant against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman and eight others in connection with arson attack and vandalism during anti-government movement in 2015.
Additional District and Session Judge of Gazipur, Md Fozle Elahi, has passed the order after conducting a hearing in this regard on Tuesday.
The other accused are- Tarique Rahman's personal assistant Lutfor Rahman Badol, Shohel, Imran, Halim, Manzurul Karim Roni, Abdul Aziz, Ali Akbar and Mobarok Hossain.
Gazipur court police inspector Rabiul Islam said that BNP and 20 party alliance men set fire and hurled patrol bombs in a bus on January 21, 2015.
Later, Sub-Inspector Dilip Chandra Sarkar filed the case accusing 32 BNP leaders and activists.
