BM college student stabbed by stalker, 2 held

Staff Correspondent, Barisal: A college girl was stabbed allegedly by her stalker in Dhamura Bazar under Uzirpur upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The victim was identified as Shanta, a first year student of political science dept. of Barisal BM College.

Victim's mother Nilufa Begum claimed that a stalker named Alal teased her daughter regularly. On Saturday night, Alal and his associates attacked Shanta with lethal weapon, leaving her injured.

Later, the college girl was taken to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical college hospital.

Following the incident, police detained two youths named Saurav and Miraz.

Helal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Uzirpur police station confirmed the matter.
