BNP, its chief silent over 4 nat’l leaders’ killings: Inu

Kushtia Correspondent: “When the whole nation demands punishment of the killers of the four national leaders, BNP and its Chairperson Khaleda Zia remain silent,” said Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.

Inu, also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD), said this silence over the killings proves that Khaleda Zia and BNP are the direct supporters of killings, illegal power capture and military rule.

“BNP’s silence about the assassination of the four national leaders has proved that the party and its chief Khaleda Zia are threat to politics”, he added.

The minister said this while talking to reporters after a view exchange meeting with his party leaders and activists at Kushtia Circuit House at 11:30am on Friday.

Inu said, "General Ziaur Rahman was the protector of the killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the four national leaders. Afterwards, BNP and its Chairperson Khaleda Zia gave political shelter to the killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the four national leaders."

Kushtia deputy commissioner Zahir Raihan, JSD district unit president Golam Mohsin, Kushtia Press Club president Abdur Rashid Chowdhury, leaders and activists of JSD and its front organisations were, among others, present at the meeting.
