BNP leader held for allegedly shaving heads of 5 students

Thakurgaon Correspondent: Police have held a high school headmaster, also local BNP leader, over allegedly shaving heads of five students without any fault in Thakurgaon.

Cops held him from his own house of Madhabpur village under Dholarhat union early Thursday.

Pradeep Kumar Roy, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ruhia Police Station, confirmed the news.

The arrestee was known as Abdul Zabbar, 52, headmaster of Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar. He is also joint convener of Ruhia Thana BNP and former chairman of Akhanagar union under Sadar upazila.

The OC said, “On Sunday noon, Abdul Zabbar called five students of Bhelarhat High School at his own school. There, they were blamed for teasing girls in an arbitrary and shaved heads.”
