Bodies of 3 missing tourists recovered from bay

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Bodies of three youth tourists, who went missing from Banshbaria sea beach in Bay of Bengal in Sitakunda upazila on Friday, have been recovered from same area.

A joint team of Navy, coast guard and fire service recovered the bodies on Saturday noon.

The deceased were known as Saiful Islam, 27, Alauddin, 25, and Yeasin, 19. They went missing after they went in Banshbaria sea beach for bathing.

Wasir Azad, an official of Sitakunda fire service, confirmed the news.

He said, “Bodies of Saiful, Alauddin and Yeasin were found at 12:30pm, 1:00pm and 1:30pm respectively. Sitakunda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) will hand over the bodies to their families.
