Body found on Karnaphuli’s bank identified

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: The body found on the bank of Karnaphuli river at Patenga in Chattogram was identified as Tasfia, a student of class nine.

Her father Mohammad Amin detected the body on Wednesday afternoon, said Patenga Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Anwar Hossain.

Earlier, Tasfia went missing after she had went out with her boyfriend on Tuesday. Police found her dead on the bank of Karnaphuli river at Neval raod on Wednesday morning.

Quoting Tasfia’s father, police said she (Tasfia) went out from home alone on Tuesday evening. Later, police came to know she went to Neval beach with a boy named Adnan Mirza.

Police are yet not confirmed how Tasfia died. But they guessed, she was murdered. So, they are searching for Adnan Mirza to uncover the mystery behind her dead.
