Body of woman recovered hospital elevator’s bottom

Faridpur Correspondent: Police has recovered the decomposed body of a woman from the bottom of an elevator of Faridpur Diabetic Medical College Hospital.

On Friday morning, her body was recovered from the bottom of the elevator of the hospital’s old building.

The name of the woman is Surzo Khatun (65), wife of the late Monchher Kha at Barakhada village under Sadar upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station Nazim Uddin said a relative of Surzo Khatun was admitted to hospital for tumor operation. She came to the hospital to see him on March 7.

On Tuesday evening, Surzo came down to bring medicine. Since, she was missing and a general dairy was filed with the police station in this regard.  After spread of bad odor in the morning it was informed to the police and the body was recovered with the help of fire service personnel.
