Bomb disposal unit reach Savar militant den

Staff Correspondent, Savar: A bomb disposal unit of police reached the militant den at Savar, the outskirts of the capital, around 10:30am on Saturday. They have already entered the hideout.

After a moment, two units of Fire Service and an ambulance arrived in the spot.

Counter Terrorism unit of Police cordoned off a six-storey building in suspicion of being militant den at Namagenda area of Savar since Friday night.

A huge amount of explosive is likely to be stored inside the house, police claimed.

The electricity of the house has already been cut off.

Alongside, police announced people of the area to walk away at safe distance to avoid any unwanted incident.

Police also raided another five-storey building on Friday evening before they cordoned off the six-storey building. However, police could not find militants or explosive there.
