Brother and sister drown in Raozan

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Two children who are brother and sister drowned in a pond at Pahartali union under Raozan upazila of the district.

Their bodies were recovered from the pond on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Aklima Akter (7) and her brother Abdur Rahman (5), they were the children of Mofizur Rahman at Khayakhali village under Pahartali union.

They were the students of class three and class one of Dewanpur Government Primary School respectively.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rauzan Police Station (Investigation) Madhusudan Nath said, "We informed about the death of two children by locals. From Friday noon, the two children disappeared and the locals rescued their bodies on Saturday morning. No one could give any information about when the two children drowned in the pond.
