Bus crashes into shop, 3 killed in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent: Three people were killed and five others were injured as a bus  crashed into a roadside shop at Bhubukdia Bazar area on Faridpur-Barisal highway of the district's Nagarkanda upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately. The injured were admitted to local hospitals.

SM Nasim, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nagarkanda Police Station, confirmed the news.

He quoting passengers said the driver of Sonartori Paribahan bus left from Barisal lost control over the steering as he was talking over mobile phone. As a result, the bust crashed into a roadside shop, leaving two dead on the spot and six others injured.

Of the injured, another succumbed at Nagarkanda Upazila Health Complex, he added.
