Bus rams into roadside shop in Rajshahi, 3 killed

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: At least three people were killed and two others injured as a bus ploughed through roadside shop in Rajshahi city on Wednesday.

The accident took place around 11:00am in Nawdapara area of the town.

The deceased were identified as Ismail Hossain alias Pingku, 24, son of Mohammad Islam, Sabuj Islam, 32, son of Mohammad Ali and Anika Khatun, 13, daughter of Rustam Ali.



Zillur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shah Makhdum Police Station said that the driver of a Nawdapara-bound bus of Arrow Bengal Paribahan lost control over the steering and rammed a motorcycle before crashing into a roadside shop, leaving two people dead on the spot and injured others.

Later, injured Anika Khatun was sent to hospital where she died under treatment.
