Bus-truck collision kills 6 in Gopalganj

Gopalganj Correspondent: At least six people were killed and 20 other were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and truck in the district early Saturday.

The accident took place around 5.30am in Barashur area under Kashiani upazila of the district.

The deceased were identified as bus driver Jihad Mollah (29) at Joyrampur under Faridpur Sadar upazila, supervisor Ibrahim Miah (35) at Chanpur village under Boalmari upazila, helper Fayekuzzaman (50) at Pakurtia village under Tungipara upazila and Selina Akhter (29) of Rangpur.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kashiani Thana Jakaria Hossain said a bus of Seba Green Line Paribahan collided head-on with a truck coming from opposite side, leaving the casualties.  
The injured have been admitted to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex.
