Case filed over Dinajpur boiler blast

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: A case was filed over a boiler explosion at a rice mill in Dinajpur.

Modina Begum, wife of Ripon killed in the blast, filed the case with Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station against three people including the owner of the rice mill on Monday morning.

The death toll in the explosion has so far risen to 12 including a woman. Seven more people are undergoing treatment in the hospital. But most of them are in a critical condition.

Dinajpur Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Redwanur Rahman confirmed the filing of the case.

On Wednesday (April 19), two workers, including a female one, were killed and 28 others suffered burn injuries as the boiler went off at ‘Jamuna Auto Rice Mill’ in Dinajpur around 11:00am.
