Cement-laden trawler capsizes in Bagerhat

Bagerhat Correspondent: A trawler with 1,225 sacks cement capsized in Panguchhi river at Morelganj of the district early Friday.

Md Rashedul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Morelganj Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said the trawler named "Ma Fatema" capsized with 1,225 sacks cement early Friday, leaving one of its staffs injured.

The injured Shahidul Islam Sheikh, 45, was admitted to Morelganj Hospital after Fire Service men rescued him, he added.

Fire Service men were trying to detect the position of the capsized trawler, the OC said.
